Student Expectations
Similar to a job site, place of employment, or public business, we have a set of expectations, policies, and procedures to ensure ALL students and staff have the ability to have a great experience while meeting our mission and vision. Students may not always agree with them, but they are in place for a reason and will be enforced consistently and fairly across the high school.
School safety is priority number one. We will be reviewing and practicing safety protocols during the first week of school.
No cell phones or earbuds are allowed out in the classroom. They are not allowed to be out in restrooms and locker rooms.
Students are expected to demonstrate high character at all times (language, attitude, effort, respect, etc.)
Dress appropriately for school. Stomachs and undergarments should not be visible (even when it’s 100 degrees out). Please reference the parent/student handbook for specifics. https://www.newlondon.k12.wi.us/parents/forms.cfm
Attendance is vital to a student's success. Be in school and to class on time.
A student will not be allowed to remain in class if they are disrupting the learning process for others or the ability of the teacher to lead the class.
Parking Passes
Parking passes are required for students driving to school. The parking permit fee is $10.00. Applications are available on our website or can be picked up in the main office. The fee and application can be brought in on your student’s first day of school to receive their pass.

Good morning,
Our school district will once again partner with Samaritan Wellness Screen to provide FREE and confidential mental health screening to students in specific grade levels throughout the 2023-2024 school year. Annual mental health check-ups are as important as annual physical check-ups and are a critical part of academic success. Early identification of mental health concerns allows for early intervention and higher success rates in resolving concerns. Look for more information regarding the Wellness Screen when school returns this fall. For additional information and/or questions please visit: https://samaritan-counseling.com/wellness-screen/ or call 920-886-9319 x111.
Thank you,
NLHS Counseling Department
Buenos dias,

Good afternoon,
Please register your student online if you have not done so already.
Registration / Lunch Fees
● If you have not registered yet for the 2023-2024 school year, parents must log in under their Skyward account (student accounts will not work). From there, the top box should display “Online Registration is now open until 9/8/2023.” Click on the blue hyperlink that states “Go to Online Registration for (your student’s name).”
● There will be a cost associated with all school meals during the 2023-2024 school year unless you qualify for free/reduced meals.
● ALL families are highly encouraged to apply for free/reduced meals. The number of families that qualify for Free and Reduced benefits is used to calculate additional funding and grants for the district. This helps ALL students. The online application can be found in Family Access or paper copies of the form can be picked up at all district buildings or printed from our website at https://www.newlondon.k12.wi.us/parents/freereducedmeals.cfm
School pictures will be taken at Open House on Tuesday, August 22nd from 8:00-1:00 and on Wednesday, August 23rd from 1:00-6:00. Also, on the first day of school for all grades on Wednesday, September 6th.
Seniors will NOT get their pictures taken unless they are new to the district, or want professional pictures taken by Harmann Studios. All seniors will receive a printout of their Junior year’s photo for their new ID card on the first day of school.
Please review the attached flyer on how to order pictures directly through Harmann Studios.
Thank you!

Good morning students and parents/guardians:
If you are planning on taking a day(s) off for hunting, vacation, or a family day, remember that students need to fill out a Pre-planned absence form in order for the day to be excused. First, parents/guardians must call the attendance line to let the school know of the intended absence. Second, students will be issued the pre-planned absence form from the attendance office. Finally, students need to return the completed form prior to the day off. If you have any questions or concerns about attendance, please let me know.
